I
have lived and loved working in the beer business for the past 32 years. I love selling beer, I have had and continue to have more than my share of fun experiences because of the people and the close relationships formed in this business, and I have enjoyed many different beer styles over that time of great change in the beer industry. I like to explore and sample new entries as they come into the market. What am I looking for you might ask? Sometimes I wonder myself what drives me to sample so many new things. Is it the thrill of finding the next hot trendy style? Is it because beer is and has been a passion of mine for more than 3 decades? For me the answer was fairly simple; I liked to be right on the leading edge of innovation, I really enjoyed finding the perfect pairing for the occasion, I appreciate craft beer, and I like supporting the small local breweries.
Let’s talk FINNEGANS and why you help them make a difference! It’s local where ever it goes since its mission is fighting hunger by donating 100% of the company’s profits right back into the communities that support the beer. The beer is high quality, sessionable, supports an important need in the community and the portfolio continues to expand and grow. FINNEGANS launched Hoppy Shepherd Session Ale in the first quarter of 2016. This hop forward session ale is a great addition to the FINNEGANS portfolio. Do some charity work, go out support a local business and try it! You won’t be disappointed my guess is you will have more than one.
FINNEGANS is launching Freckled Rooster Bière Blanc May 1st, this limited offering will be around for the warm weather season (or until we run out). The inspiration for this beer comes from the Alsatian region of France. This beer is a perfect fit for any summer occasion with elements of a saison ale from the French yeast strain, the chill haze of a wit beer, the mouth feel and effervesces of sauvignon blanc wine, and the sessionability that will be a perfect fit for those relaxing days on the patio. I encourage you to get out the last week of April and find this beer. You will be the one breaking the news to all your friends and family with a beer style you discovered before the general public. Remember this one is a limited release so finding it early is the best way to ensure you can enjoy it during all the summer occasions when a beer is the perfect fit!

Freckled Rooster Bière Blanc Facts
Description: Brewed with Premium European Ingredients. This beer has a spritzy mouth feel, slightly spicy mid-palate, aromas of melon, stone fruit, and Sauvignon Blanc grapes. The color is very pale with a slight haze, dry, light bodied, and a refreshing interpretation of French Alsace-style ale with a crisp finish.
